Research & Clinical Interests

Ongoing projects include the following:

•Couple functioning

Ongoing projects include the following:

- Pain characteristics and psychosocial, psychophysical, and psychosexual functioning in women with and without vulvodynia
- Efficacy of treatments for vulvodynia
- Brain activation patterns using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in women with and without vulvodynia
- Blood flow using Laser Doppler imaging in healthy women, women with sexual arousal disorder, and women with vulvodynia
- Pelvic floor muscle function in women with and without vulvodynia
- Longitudinal assessment of social support and relationship quality in same- and other-sex couples

Clinical Interests
My clinical interests lie in the domain of male and female sexual dysfunction, chronic pain, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to individuals, couples, and groups. I have received formal training in sex and couple therapy as well as in chronic pain management.
