My research
has focused on structured personality assessment.
In particular, I am interested in the accuracy
of information obtained by the ever popular
self report personality questionnaire.
My past work has examined the process of
responding to personality test items and
how influences such as social desirability
and person reliability can impact the validity
of questionnaire responses. More recently,
I have been examining the assumption that
responses to behavioural items (such as "I
smoke more than 10 cigarettes per day" or "I
exercise three times week") are relatively
more accurate than responses to the more
traditional personality types ("I am conscientious"). |
