My broad research agenda is to examine socioemotional development from a dynamic systems (DS) perspective in both typical and atypical populations. Adolescence, particularly the transition into early adolescence, is the focal age of my research, although I am also interested in general patterns of developmental processes across all ages. To pursue this agenda, I am interested in developing and applying methods that are best suited for the analysis of processes of change. My research so far has primarily used the state space grid technique, a DS method created by my mentor Marc Lewis (www.statespacegrids.org).
