Visiting Scholar Program 2008/09
As indicated in the March 24 Gazette announcement concerning the Principal's Development Fund, a separate fund to be administered by the Faculty Deans has been established to encourage academc visits by women, visible minorities, aboriginal peoples and people with disabilities (Category D). Proposals must include the Scholar's curriculum vitae and detailed budget. Applications should be sent to Diane Reid, Faculty of Arts & Science, F300 Macintosh-Corry Hall. Further details please see guidelines. Deadline for applications is April 30, 2008.

RESEARCH
Call for Nominations - 2009 Killam Prizes (FIVE at $100,000 each)
The Canada Council for the Arts is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the prestigious award. WORKSHOPS
WHMIS Training.
The Occupational Health and Safety Act requires that employers provide training and informaton to protect the health and safety of all employees. Training sessions for office environments and Workplace Hazardous Materials . This course does NOT quality as WHMIS training in laboratory settings. The course dates are:
Tuesday April 29 - 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Thursday May 8 - 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Tuesday May 13- 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Wednesday May 21 - 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Radioactive Material - Department of Environmental Health and Safety is offering Radiation safety training sessions. Courses will be held in Macintosh Corry, Room B176, Lecture Theatre. An established private practice in midtown Toronto is looking for committed and motivated individuals to administer a wide range of psychometric tests and prepare written reports under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist.
