OFFICE HOURS
Support staff offices will be closing at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 20th. The Department will be closed on Friday, March 21, 2008 for Good
Friday. Offices are open on Monday, March 24 (Easter Monday) from
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Closed from 12:00 - 1:00p.m. for lunch.
CONDOLENCES
INNES, Margaret Rose - Retired, Queen's University Department of Psychology and Policy Studies.
After a brief illness at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday, March 3, 2008. The former Margaret Rose Sunman, in her 69th year. Beloved wife of 48 years to George Innes. Dear sister of David Sunman and his wife Fleta of Belleville and remembered fondly by her nephew Steven Wilson and her niece Susan Wilson both of Toronto. Predeceased by her parents W.O.1 William H. Sunman and Gertrude Smith and by her sister Grace Wilson. In keeping with Marg's wishes, there will be no service and cremation immediate. A private interment will take place at Cataraqui Cemetery in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (Donations by cheque only please).

SEMINARS/TALKS
AMS (Queen's) MHAC panel discussion - The Mental Health Awareness Committee would like to invite you to Drugs vs Hugs: a panel discussion on the integration of pharmacotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy in the treatment of depression. The discussin will feature two psychiatrists and two psychologists from the Queen's community including Dr. Roumen Milev, Dr. Mike Condra, Dr. Steven McNevin and Dr. Chuck Vetere. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 19th at 5:30 p.m. in Stirling Hall D. This will be a great avenue to get students and faculty more aware of the mental health issues facing students on campus, in the hopes that by facilitating educaton we can reduce the stigman surrounding mental health. Hope to see you there!

POSTINGS University of New Brunswick, Department of Psychology invites applications
for an 8 month term sabbatical replacemnt positon in Psychology at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor level commencing September 1, 2008. Deadline for receipt of applications is April 15, 2008. Job ad
Navigant Consulting is a management consulting firm with offices in Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal and throughout the U.S. We are seeking a researcher fluent in SPSS for some immediate, short-term work conducting survey analysis, with potential future work on an as-needed basis over the next several months. Work can be done remotely, but the individual must have access to SPSS.
Immediate analysis will include creation of values for new variables based on respondent answers to multiple survey questions, trouble-shooting of the survey dataset for questionnaire and/or survey implementation errors, and working with consultants to assess the meaning of survey results. Must be fluent in SPSS (current dataset is in version 16.0), especially in manipulating data and creating variables through use of if-then logic.
